La historia del Método Pilates

El pilates no es una moda pasajera, sino un método con raíces sólidas. Fue creado a principios del siglo XX por Joseph H. Pilates, un visionario alemán que dedicó su vida a estudiar el cuerpo humano, la respiración y el movimiento.

Durante la Primera Guerra Mundial comenzó a desarrollar su sistema de ejercicios, diseñados para fortalecer, rehabilitar y equilibrar el cuerpo. Más tarde, al trasladarse a Nueva York, compartió su método con bailarines, atletas y personas de todas las edades, ganándose una reputación por su precisión, control y resultados transformadores.

Hoy, más de un siglo después, el pilates sigue siendo uno de los sistemas de entrenamiento más completos y efectivos para cuidar la fuerza, la flexibilidad y la mente.

En nuestro estudio honramos esa tradición, adaptándola a las necesidades actuales: un espacio donde el movimiento consciente se convierte en bienestar, energía y equilibrio.

Principios de Pilates

En nuestro estudio creemos que el Pilates es mucho más que ejercicio físico: es un camino hacia el equilibrio entre cuerpo y mente. Estos son los principios que guían cada una de nuestras clases:

  • Respiración 🌬️
    El aire es nuestra energía. Una respiración profunda y consciente acompaña cada movimiento, dándole fluidez y calma.

  • Concentración 🎯
    La mente dirige al cuerpo. Estar presentes en lo que hacemos es la clave para lograr un movimiento efectivo y seguro.

  • Control ⚖️
    Cada ejercicio se realiza con precisión, sin movimientos bruscos ni automáticos. El control es lo que transforma.

  • Precisión ✨
    Los detalles importan. Una pequeña corrección puede marcar la diferencia entre moverse y realmente entrenar.

  • Fluidez 🌊
    El cuerpo se mueve como un todo, sin rigidez, con armonía y naturalidad, como si fuera una coreografía.

  • Centro 🌟
    El “powerhouse”, o centro del cuerpo, es la base de todo. Desde ahí nace la fuerza y la estabilidad que sostienen cada postura.
